It’s important to get to know the final election candidates before CIRA members vote in the election. Final candidate profiles will help you determine which individuals have the right skills and experience needed on the board to help CIRA take its work to the next level and advance its mission.
Key dates and stages:
CIRA’s election process happens in several stages, beginning with filling seats on the nomination committee in March and ending in an online vote in September. The entire election process is held online.

| June 6-June 20, 2023 | Apply to join the board through the nomination committee slate |
| August 2, 2023 | Nomination committee candidates announced |
| August 2-August 16, 2023 | Apply to join the board through the member slate |
| August 30, 2023 | Member nominees announced |
| August 30-September 13, 2023 | Members show their support for member nominees |
| September 20, 2023 | Show of support results and final list of candidates announced |
| September 20-October 4, 2023 | Campaign forum is live |
| September 27-October 4, 2023 | Members vote to elect candidates |
| October 9, 2023 (or before) | Election results announced |
