THE PROJECT

Researchers at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) found that the first six months in Canada is a critical period in which new Canadians need information and support but often don’t know where to access it. They worked with community organizations to pilot an app (now defunct) that was a centralized point of resources and information for those arriving in Canada.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

New immigrants to Montreal were recruited to test the app for a one-month period to help them access resources that facilitate their integration with Canada.
