THE PROJECT
More and more people and companies are victims of cyber attacks, putting their data, devices and networks at risk. Mohawk College developed customized cybersecurity modules for Indigenous learners, journalism students and professionals and high school students to increase knowledge of and interest in cybersecurity, with the goal of improving understanding of cybersecurity strategies at the formative/early career stage.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
The training was delivered to about 450 secondary students within the first year, with resources available online to ensure students are more job-ready to work in a digital environment and increase their overall confidence with online safety.
