Promoting your Net Good Grant
Your support is critical to our Net Good program! By sharing your good news, you allow us to reach more communities and organizations across Canada that may also need funding. Our checklist will help you promote your initiative and ensure that the messaging is clear and consistent.
Before your project
Share our press release
Let the world know you’re a Net Good Grant recipient by using our social cards
Ask us for a quote for your own media release
Follow CIRA’s social channels and engage with the grants-related content
During your project
Promote the CIRA site with your followers and stakeholders by linking to https://cira.ca/grants in your newsletter
Invite us to your events (both in-person and virtual)
Track your progress with photos and videos
Share Net Good content on your social channels and encourage others to follow your journey
When appropriate, tag CIRA in your social posts and include the hashtag: #WeAreNetGood
After your project
Submit your final report within 90 days of project completion
Meet with us for a post-report call to reflect, tell your story and share photos for us to feature on our website
Hashtags and sample posts
Using appropriate hashtags on your social media posts can help your audience better understand the topic and get your posts in front of new audiences. Depending on the platform, we recommend using between one to three hashtags. Here are the most relevant ones for CIRA Grants: #grantfunding, #grants, #onlinesafety, #internetforall, #digitaldivide.
Our general campaign hashtag is #WeAreNetGood in English and #NousSommesNetGood in French.

Logos and brand guidelines
We encourage you to use our logos and social media cards when communicating about your project. However, we ask that you contact us when using our logo so we can review it.
Please allow CIRA 48 hours to approve all uses of our logo.
‘CIRA’ [pron: Cee-rah] is the way we communicate about our organization. CIRA Grants are part of Net Good by CIRA. Please use uppercase letters with no periods when mentioning our brand.
Please refer to our funding program as CIRA Net Good Grants or CIRA Grants.
