CIRA is much more than the manager of the .ca domain. During challenging times, the digital representation of Canadian identity is critical, as is the security of our Internet infrastructure. CIRA invests in cybersecurity, supports Internet exchange points, and funds community projects that expand access and digital literacy.

To me, CIRA matters because it combines technical expertise with a public mission. It ensures that Canadians can go online safely and confidently, while also helping communities bridge the digital divide. In a world where trust and security are critical, CIRA plays a vital role in keeping Canada’s Internet strong, inclusive, and resilient.

I want to serve on CIRA’s Board because I believe the Internet is essential to Canada’s future. It connects communities, supports businesses, and underpins our national identity. CIRA’s role in keeping the .ca domain secure, strengthening cybersecurity, and investing in community projects is vital — and I would be honoured to help guide this mission.

I bring over 25 years of leadership experience in finance, technology, and governance. I have worked with Fortune 100 companies, banks, and innovative startups, including co-founding a digital trade finance platform that raised significant international funding to support small businesses. Earlier in my career, I held senior roles at Citibank and Dell, where I built solutions that combined growth with security and responsibility.

Beyond business leadership, I have served on advisory boards, mentored future leaders, and spoken at global conferences and Canadian universities. These roles have strengthened my ability to listen, build consensus, and provide strong governance.

On the Board, I will contribute expertise in risk management, strategy, and innovation. Most importantly, I will work to ensure that CIRA continues to advance a safe, inclusive, and resilient Internet that benefits all Canadians.

Top 3 Challenges and Opportunities for CIRA in the Next 3–5 Years

1. Keeping Canadians Safe Online
Cyberattacks and online fraud are growing more complex. CIRA must stay ahead to protect Canadians and businesses. This also gives CIRA the chance to expand its cybersecurity leadership and strengthen trust in the .ca domain.

2. Closing the Digital Divide
Not all Canadians have equal access to reliable Internet. Rural and underserved communities risk being left behind. CIRA can play a bigger role in supporting community projects and partnerships that make the Internet more inclusive.

3. Adapting to New Technology
AI, digital identity, and other innovations will shape how Canadians connect and do business online. CIRA needs to embrace these changes while ensuring fairness, security, and public benefit.

How I Can Help:
I bring over 25 years of experience in finance, technology, and governance — from co-founding a fintech that used AI to support small businesses, to advising Fortune 100 companies on strategy and risk. My background in innovation, oversight, and risk management will help CIRA make smart, responsible choices as it faces these challenges and opportunities.
