As a passionate technologist and committed advocate for digital innovation, I am excited to contribute to CIRA’s mission of building a trusted internet for Canadians. With over a decade of experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, and digital entrepreneurship, I bring a strong blend of technical expertise and business strategy.

I am the founder of a digital solutions company based in Canada, where I’ve helped local businesses establish and grow their online presence through web and mobile technologies. I understand firsthand the importance of a secure, inclusive, and forward-thinking internet ecosystem — especially for small businesses, newcomers, and underrepresented communities.

I believe CIRA plays a crucial role in shaping Canada’s digital future. If elected, I will work to support initiatives that enhance internet accessibility, digital literacy, and cybersecurity across the country. I am particularly interested in ensuring that rural and underserved communities have equal access to reliable digital infrastructure.

My collaborative mindset, technical background, and entrepreneurial drive make me well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to CIRA’s governance and strategic direction. I see this opportunity not just as a board position, but as a responsibility to help shape a more secure, innovative, and equitable digital Canada.

CIRA manages the .ca domain — a key part of Canada’s online identity — and plays a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and resilience of Canada’s internet infrastructure. But beyond that, CIRA is also deeply invested in building a better online future for all Canadians through initiatives that support internet accessibility, digital literacy, and cybersecurity.

From my perspective, CIRA matters because it safeguards a uniquely Canadian space on the internet while also acting as a leader in the responsible development of internet-related policy and technology. Whether it’s protecting users from cyber threats, investing in underserved communities through its Community Investment Program, or supporting research and advocacy for a better internet, CIRA’s work touches individuals, businesses, and institutions across the country.

In an increasingly digital world, a strong, sovereign, and secure internet is not just a luxury — it’s essential to economic development, education, innovation, and social inclusion. CIRA is at the heart of that, and its work ensures that Canadian voices, values, and needs are reflected in the digital landscape.

That’s why CIRA matters — and why I’m passionate about contributing to its mission.

I want to join CIRA’s Board of Directors because I believe in CIRA’s mission and want to play an active role in shaping Canada’s digital future. As someone deeply involved in software development, digital infrastructure, and entrepreneurship, I bring both technical and business expertise that aligns with CIRA’s goals.

I’ve spent over a decade helping businesses and organizations leverage the internet to grow, connect, and innovate. Through my work, I’ve seen the real-world challenges around internet access, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion — especially for small businesses and underrepresented communities. These insights allow me to bring a grounded, practical perspective to the boardroom.

As a founder of a Canadian tech company, I understand the value of strong governance, strategic planning, and staying ahead of digital trends. I also bring experience in managing digital transformation, data privacy, cloud technology, and stakeholder engagement.

If elected, I would contribute with a strong voice for innovation, inclusion, and responsible digital growth. I believe in collaboration, asking the right questions, and making decisions that reflect the evolving needs of Canadians online.

I see this board position as more than governance — it’s a chance to give back, ensure long-term sustainability, and help CIRA remain a trusted, forward-thinking leader in Canada’s internet ecosystem.

1. Cybersecurity Threats:
As cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, CIRA must continue enhancing tools like its DNS Firewall and D-Zone services to protect Canadians.
My contribution: With hands-on experience in building secure web and cloud-based applications, I understand the technical needs of both small businesses and enterprise clients when it comes to data protection and system resilience.

2. Digital Equity and Access:
Ensuring all Canadians — including rural and underserved communities — have access to reliable, high-speed internet is both a challenge and an opportunity.
My contribution: I’ve worked with businesses and organizations that rely on stable digital infrastructure for growth. I bring a strong understanding of the economic and social impact of limited connectivity and would advocate for continued investment in CIRA’s Community Investment Program.

3. Innovation and Digital Sovereignty:
Emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and quantum computing pose both risks and opportunities. CIRA will need to explore these while maintaining a strong Canadian digital identity.
My contribution: As a developer and tech founder, I stay on the cutting edge of digital trends and can provide strategic insight into how CIRA can innovate responsibly while supporting open internet values and Canadian digital independence.
